Our goals

MVI’s goals represent a multifaceted approach to achieving our mission. The stakes are high: in 2000, the international community adopted the Millennium Development Goals that include the target of halting and reversing the incidence of malaria. In 2005, the malaria vaccine community adopted a Malaria Vaccine Technology Roadmap that called for the development of a first-generation malaria vaccine and a second-generation malaria vaccine.

MVI’s long-term, mission-driven goals reflect those of the international community.
