Project description:
The parasite Plasmodium berghei (P. berghei) is one of four Plasmodium species known to cause malaria in rodents, but not in humans. Via controlled human malaria infection (CHMI), this project aims to evaluate whether a modified version of P.berghei—with the Plasmodium falciparum circumsporozoite protein gene inserted into it—will induce an immune response in humans.
